Man, 44, killed crossing road near Cornish airbase
A 44-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a car in south Cornwall.
The incident happened outside the main entrance to RNAS Culdrose on the A3083 at just before 2200 BST on Monday. Devon and Cornwall police believe that the man was leaving a bus stop and crossing the road near Helston when he was struck.
The car involved was a Metro being driven by an 18-year-old woman from Helston.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
